diy chairs

Should always prefer solutions focused on ease of use,
this is the principle which should undergo all forms of design and creativity. The "ease" Living and DIY communicated by the "minimalism" The Green Ant are nothing more than this: simplicity.
DIY Living table, bookcase, chair: "It 'that easy / It's so easy"inimalism.
The Art of Removing Continually Have you left things until all is beauty.Minimalism. The art of removing things continuously until all that remains is beauty.
Strip away everything That Is not essential and you'll finally haves That is something.
Remove everything that is not essential and you will end up something that is.
One thing leads to Bruno Munari
Simplify means to solve the problem by deleting anything that does not help the realization of the functions.

Simplifying means reducing costs, reduce time of processing, assembly, finishing. It means solving two problems together in a single solution.
Simplifying a difficult job and requires lot of creativity.
Complicating is much easier to just
add everything that comes to mind without worrying if the costs go beyond the limits of the sale,
if you put more time to achieve the object, and so on.
It must be said, however, that the public, in general,
is more inclined to assess the "hard work" manual that you need to make a complicated thing than to recognize the "hard work" of mind it takes to make it easier, because then you do not sees. In fact the people in the face of extremely simple solutions, that might have required lengthy research and trials, he says, but how is that all? But I know I do!When someone saysI know I domeanwho knows REDOotherwise wouldalready have it.

Adirondack Chair

Adirondack chair (or in some parts of Canada, a Muskoka chair) is a type of chair used primarily in an outdoor setting. The precursor to today's Adirondack chair was designed by Thomas Lee in 1903. He was on vacation in Westport, New York and chairs needed for his place in the summer. Has tested the first designs on his family.

The original Adirondack chair was made with eleven pieces of wood, cut from a single board. He had a straight back and seat, which were settled at an inclination to sit better on steep slopes of the mountain in the area. Also featured wide armrests that have become a hallmark of the Adirondack chair.

Today's Adirondack chairs usually feature a rounded back and contoured seat. The style has also been translated to other pieces of furniture, from gliders to love seats. Some modern Adirondack chairs are made from plastic lumber or engineered wood instead of wood.

After arriving at a final design for the "Westport plank chair," the shelters have offered to Harry Bunnell, a carpenter friend in Westport, who was in need of a winter income. Bunnell quickly realized the chair was the perfect item to sell to Westport's summer residents and apparently without permission of the shelters, Bunnell filed and received patent number 794,777 by 1905. [1] Bunnell has produced its chairs bridge for the next twenty years. His 'Westport Chairs' were all signed and made of hemlock in colors of dark brown or medium green.

Adirondack chairs are becoming popular as outdoor seating available at cafés, because the arms control plans are suitable for food and beverages on, making it possible to provide specific arrangement of seating without using tables

The Chair and the Pavilion by Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe Barcelona

The Chair and the Pavilion by Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe Barcelona

This article will give an overview of the history of the chair by Mies Van Der Rohe in Barcelona and how and why it has become a famous piece of modern design, sophisticated in the world.
You will also find photos of the Pavilion of Mies where are the famous Barcelona chairs.
Became famous as a simple lounge chair? Why is it so hard to find this chair in furniture stores and where can I buy? The answers to these questions are all in this article then sit and read.

Chairs by Mies Van Der Rohe Pavilion in Barcelona used as a royal throneThe history of the Barcelona Chair begins with a man named Ludwig Mies Van de Rohe in 1929. Mies, a man of German descent, was born in 1886 and became a leading modernist architects of his era. Mies took over briefly in the 30's, the director of the famous German Bauhaus school of design. Like many other architects, including the importance of using the right furniture in addition to a building and its features, so as to create harmony in design. Consequently, the work of Mies architecture led him to the end furniture design.
In 1929 Barcelona hosted the World Art Fair, and the German government commissioned Mies to design a German Pavilion at Montjuic to participate in the exhibition.

The Mies Van der Rohe Pavilion in Barcelona which houses the two chairs set up for the King and Queen of SpainWith the Pavilion, Mies succeeded in his vision of a modern building with an open space, built in glass, steel and four types of marble. However, once built the building, he turned his mind to include furnishings. Some might think that building furniture is a far simpler task to build an entire building, but not for Mies:
'The chair is a difficult subject. All who have tried to create one knows. There are endless possibilities and a lot of problems - the chair should be lightweight, strong, comfortable. It's almost easier to build a skyscraper rather than a chair. "- Mies, 1930.
The exhibition was an important international event, was attended by the Spanish royal and many representatives of European governments. Mies was fully aware of the event.
He knew that what he drew was supposed to be 'an important chair, a chair, very elegant and expensive. It had to be monumental. You could not use a simple kitchen chair. " - Mies 1929

Inside the Pavilion in BarcelonaThe German Pavilion was demolished six months after the close of the Exposition, but was rebuilt (to stay) in 1983 to its original location in Montjuic Av Marques de Comillas.
From this beginning the lucky chairs in Barcelona soon became a status symbol, design icons like the 'Wassily Chair' of Bruers. These pieces were an immediate success thanks to their flexible design and fluid. The concept of the Barcelona Chair is like that of modern Macs in the computer world: they are both design sculptures that conglobano their functionality.
The Barcelona Chair, named for its first use and its growing reputation in Barcelona, has enjoyed a steady growth in sales and production all over the world. Mies re-designed the original chair in 1950 in order to use stainless steel, which had previously appeared on the scene thanks to the sweeping changes in industrial technology.
Building the structure of the chair in stainless steel structure meant to produce fluid from a single piece of metal. However there remained a designer Mies Bauhaus, which proposed a functional furniture to be produced in large quantities in the ground (similar to what is nowadays Ikea in the world) and therein lies the contradiction: the Barcelona Chair is both expensive and difficult for mass production.

The price of the Barcelona Chair - ranges from $ 600 to over $ 3000 - comes from the fact that the Barcelona Chair is difficult and expensive to produce.
However, what you buy is a famous piece of furniture design, an icon of furniture. In fact, nowadays there are also footstools, sofas and the like that follow the same rules of design of the Barcelona Chair - the same legs and the same square stitched back - but which were never designed by Mies. These pieces of furniture in Barcelona is more readily available to be ordered online and are usually the black and cream.
